Photos

Prior to interviewing anyone, you need to ensure the camera is working properly.

Prior to interviewing anyone, you need to make sure the camera on the device is working properly. You need to check the following items:

  • Does the device have enough power?
  • Is the time and date set and correctly?
  • Have you tested the equipment to ensure the GPS works?
  • On the device is the Location feature turned on?
All photos must provide information regarding the exact location of the interview. The GPS will provide this location data for you. Select each tab to learn more about the steps to set up your GPS.

Set your phone to the Home Screen page.
Step 2
On the top of the Home Screen, click downwards to show a row of options.
Step 3
If Location is off, click on the Location tab to switch it on.
Step 4
After taking a picture, identify the More icon in the upper right corner.
Step 5
Click Details.
Step 6
Location will appear in the form of an area name or longitude and latitude coordinates.

When you take a photo of the people contributing to the interview, the interviewee should be included in the photograph, so that the same person exists in both photos.

Including background features such as a building or nature is good. We recommend that you include more than two family members in the extended family group photo, if possible.

The person conducting the interview (interviewer) should not be included in any images.
